Gov. Gavin Newsom is poised to deliver his second State of the State address. This speech traditionally provides a roadmap for the legislative year ahead. The 2020 address is being given at the latest point in the calendar year in 40 years.
Last week’s announcement that McClatchy was entering bankruptcy in the hopes of being able to restructure its debt sent shockwaves through the news business. The sale of McClatchy after 163 years of family ownership would take it private.
For the next four days, a wide variety of Jewish films will be screened in Sacramento. The festival consists of 14 feature films and nine short films. All screenings take place at the Crest Theatre.
