President FDR's fourth-term Vice President Harry S. Truman was "the prototypical ordinary man." That is, until FDR's sudden death thrust him into extraordinary circumstances during the climactic months of the Second World War.

In his book "The Accidental President: Harry S. Truman and the Four Months That Changed the World," bestselling author A.J. Baime chronicles the tumultuous, history-making first 120 days of the Truman administration, when America was pulled to the forefront of the global stage. 

Today on Insight, Baime shares a Truman anecdote about Billy Graham, who passed away this week, and compares the media cycle in 1945 to today.

Baime's prior books include "Big Shots: The Men Behind the Booze," "The Arsenal of Democracy: FDR, Detroit, and an Epic Quest to Arm an America at War," and "Go Like Hell: Ford, Ferrari, and Their Battle for Speed and Glory at Le Mans."
