Longtime capitol reporter Tom Chorneau has seen the ability of the press to hold politicians accountable and shape the conversation for better or worse.

His new novel "Enterprise Reporting: Can anyone ever really trust the news again?" explores how a journalist used that power for their own political gain. The story comes in an era where journalism is under siege and the term “fake news” has become ubiquitous. 

Chorneau is speaking at the Sacramento Press Club on Monday at 5:30 p.m. and joins Insight with a preview and some perspective on his book.
