This Friday is the one year anniversary of the Camp Fire that devastated Paradise and surrounding towns. And one year after, a $1 million dollar grant is funding mental health and wellness services, and an app, to help first responders.
Students at El Dorado High School in Placerville will tackle the complex and disturbing themes presented in the play, "The Laramie Project." There will be six performances over the next two weekends, with 22 actors performing 65 roles.
The Festival of New American Music celebrates its 42nd year with a week of performances at Sacramento State University. The schedule is packed with local and national musicians and opportunities for students to connect with acclaimed performers.
