Nicholas McGegan is celebrating 30 years as director of the Bay Area-based Philharmonia Baroque Orchestra, which has been around for 33 years.

The group's specialty is performing with instruments true to the same time period the music was composed. 

Capital Public Radio's Classical Host Kevin Doherty interviewed McGegan before the orchestra's concert Oct. 23 at the Harris Center.
