A local writer and producer has adapted his own holiday novella into an audiobook. “The Miracle of the Christmas Wish Holder,” by Rick Cabral, follows Sacramento public relations professional Grace McBride as she represents a local family toy business that finds itself in a legal entanglement with a Nevada City tech company.
The legal quagmire could postpone the delivery of “Wish Holders,” a popular children’s gift whose profits usually benefit local charities. Cabral produced the audiobook with the help of eight local actors who help bring the book’s characters to life. We’ll talk with Cabral about what it took to turn his novella into an audiobook.
