The House of Representatives voted to support increased security checks on Syrian refugees seeking asylum in the United States. All but two House Republicans voted for the Republican-sponsored bill, as well as 47 Democrats.
The Sacramento County Historical Society will be hosting 2 events. One is a presentation on the Squatter's Riot which will be Tuesday, November 24th at 7pm and the other event is the "Taste of History."
