The Rocky Fire in Lake County has grown to more than 65,000 acres. 6,000 structures are threatened by the fire and 13,000 people have been affected by evacuations. Elizabeth Larson of Lake County News has been following the fire’s destruction and joins us with the latest news.
UC Davis’ Stebbins Cold Canyon Reserve and its trails are closed to the public until further notice, the result of the Wragg fire that swept through much of the reserve in late July. The 576-acre reserve off of Highway 128 near Lake Berryessa was almost the first thing in the wildfire’s path as the flames moved south and east from the lake’s southern tip.
