Capitol Chat Things are really quiet this week at the Capitol because the legislature is out of session, but that's not stopping people from rallying and protesting in favor of prisoner rights. Under pressure from hunger strikes, the state of California has made some changes to the way it runs its toughest prison units. But protestors say those efforts aren't enough. A rally and march to the governor's office was held Tuesday, and families are unhappy with the state's response. Also, the CDCR began moving high-risk populations for West Valley Fever to other facilities this week, and the inmates taking their places are not too happy about the situation. We'll talk about these two issues with
Julie Small from Southern California Public Radio.

Critics worry the legislation could upset parents of school-age students and open the door for young sex offenders. We'll talk about these issues with a bill advocate and
Matt McReynolds, Capital Resource Institute.
