Stockton might be a good destination for the next few days for those who consider themselves to be "foodies." Stockton Restaurant Week begins Friday.
It's a chance to explore new menus and new venues at bargain prices.
Food sizzles in the pan at the De Vega Brothers Restaurant as the lunch crowd sits down.
Co-owner Rafael De Vega says January is normally slow but Restaurant Week brings record business.
"With Restaurant Week seems like the people like to come out and enjoy that special week," says Vega.
20 eateries will be cooking specials during Restaurant Week which actually runs ten days.
Customer Janis Kembel says she's can't afford not to dine out with lunch specials priced at $10 and dinners from $15.
"I think it's a great value and I like what they said, it's for getting new customers, repeat customers and people that are sort of on the cusp of not knowing anything about a restaurant," says Kembel.
