How do Asian Americans fit into today’s conversations about race?
The past few weeks have seen a growing number of conversations about race in the wake of the killing of George Floyd in Minneapolis and several other people of color before and after that event.
CapRadio Reporter Sarah Mizes-Tan has been covering the Black Lives Matter protests and started to see parallels between it and her father’s constant encouragement to stand up against anti-Asian racism. But she realizes that not everyone feels the same way. She spoke about it with our partner station KQED in San Francisco for their podcast, “The Bay.”
You’ll hear that episode followed by a conversation with Mizes-Tan about how this has played out in her life and in her role as a reporter covering immigrants and communities of color.
