Organizer Faye Kennedy is joined by local authors Staajabu and Dr. V.S. Chochezi to talk about a variety of events and readings where you can add to your summer reading list. The book fair program includes: Friday, June 1 6 p.m.: Opening reception at Underground Books 7 p.m.: Author panel discussion at the Guild Theater 9:15 p.m.: Gala art reception and Jazz Mixer at Brickhouse Art Gallery Saturday, June 2 11 a.m.-5 p.m.: Kids zone with storytelling activities, music, poetry and more at Brickhouse Art Gallery 10 a.m.: Books on Parade at the Women's Civic Improvement Club of Sacramento featuring a performance by the Natomas High School Nighthawk Band and Drum Corps.
