Dr. Bennet Omalu launched into the spotlight several years ago for his controversial research on head injuries in contact sports (i.e. football). As a young student coming from Nigeria, his autopsy work in Pittsburgh on the NFL star center Mike Webster would become the focal point for his research on chronic traumatic encephalopathy. His story was turned into the film “Concussion” starring Will Smith and has traveled the nation giving talks on why football and other contact sports can be dangerous for children. Omalu joins Insight with his new memoir, “Truth Doesn’t Have a Side."
