Sacramento blues rock duo Blue Oaks are gearing up to release their debut album, due out on Friday, October 13. They're playing at the 27th Annual Chalk It Up! festival in Fremont Park. Blue Oaks has released the title track to their forthcoming album "To Be Kind Is Sin."
Hip hop producer The Philharmonik will perform at #OnTheBlock 2017 on R Street this Saturday, September 2. The free block party will feature other local acts like DLRN, Soosh*E, Inland, Cameron Calloway, and The Lique.
The Crest Theatre is playing "Turn It Around: The Story of East Bay Punk" on Friday, September 1 starting at 7:00 p.m. with Destroy Boys performing a set, followed by the film at 7:30, and a Q&A with the filmmakers after the show.
