A travelling exhibit now on display at Sacramento State University brings you face-to-face with the society of Bahrain as it was 4,000 years ago. From Death to Life in Ancient Bahrain includes facial reconstructions of two ancient Dilmunites, created by 3-D scanning and forensic science, reproductions of ancient pottery and a life-size replica of the contents of a burial mound. The exhibit also highlights the archeological processes used in recovering and reconstructing ancient life marks the first time this research has been organized into a traveling show. Alexis Boutin is a Sonoma State University archeologist who created the exhibition. She joins us to talk about what we can learn from this ancient civilization. The exhibit runs through May 8 at Sacramento State’s Anthropology Museum.
