Program to include selections from the traditional classical canon as well as living American and Japanese composers. Brennen Milton has twice been invited to Carnegie Hall, once as the winner of the Golden Classical Musical Awards, and will speak to that journey as a Black man. He will also talk about his second passion: designing clothes!
In the words of Brennen Milton:
Carol Chuang (founder and instructor at the Pacific Institute of Music (www.piom.org) and I were so excited to present music at the CapRadio Garden here in Sacramento. We’ve worked hard to bring music we are passionate about, and strived for diversity in our programming. For the CapRadio Summer Concert Series, most of the music we chose has been written in the last 50 years, even the award winning “Victorian Kitchen Garden,” which I had the opportunity to perform at Carnegie Hall. Thank you for listening, we hope to connect with all kinds of musicians and music lovers through our artistry and beyond.
