Pacific Gas and Electric restored service Sunday evening to all 10,328 customers who lost power in the public safety power shutoff in Butte, Plumas and Yuba counties that began Saturday night due to fire danger in the area.
The majority of those affected — around 10,235 — were in Butte County. A small number in Storie and Brownsville were impacted in other counties.
A red flag warning was in effect through Sunday for much of the region.
Factors for the shutoffs include red flag warnings, low humidity levels potential high winds.
This is the third shutoff this year. PG&E also shut off power last October, less than a month before the Camp Fire, which has been blamed on PG&E equipment.
PG&E utility has set up an alert system for customers who could be impacted by the shutoffs. You can sign up here.
