The Sacramento County Sheriff's Department has released video of two people believed to have participated in a hate crime against a Jewish Synagogue.
The incident happened on Saturday at Temple Or Rishon on Hazel Avenue in Orangevale.
Detectives say 15 to 16 posters with anti-Semitic messages were attached to the exterior of the building.
Sergeant Shaun Hampton says those posters also made references to killings at places of worship.
"One of the main things that was said that was rather alarming is indicating that one of the past folks that had been involved in a church shooting was correct in his actions," Hampton said.
The incident happened prior to this weekend's mass shooting in Texas.
Hampton says detectives are working closely with the FBI to follow leads and process significant amounts of surveillance video.
