Thousands of California residents who fled wildfires more than a week ago are now returning home and trying to figure out how to rebuild.
The Yuba County Government Center in Marysville will be open today through Friday with numerous agencies and organizations including building inspection, environmental health, animal services and FEMA.
"These things are all being set up at one time so that you can have a chance to not have to run around in different place over the course of weeks and months," Yuba County Spokesman Russ Brown said in a Facebook video. "It's a one-stop shop to find out what you need to do to start the whole process of recovery."
Yuba-Sutter transit is offering a free shuttle service from Loma Rica to the center in Marysville today through Friday for people affected by the fire who don't have transportation.
Yuba County's Board of Supervisors voted unanimously to waive building permit and records fees for two years for residents rebuilding from the Cascade Fire.
