A proposal to make some of Sacramento's drought-related watering restrictions permanent is making its way through the city council.
Sacramento's emergency watering rules are currently in effect. They limit watering to two days per week during the summer.
Last night the city council voted to move ahead with a proposal to make the two-day limit permanent between March 1 and October 31.
Drip irrigation and container plants would still be exempt.
The city council is expected to vote on the measure next Tuesday.
