Attorney General Xavier Becerra added Kentucky, Alabama, South Dakota, and Texas to an official list of states that restrict LGBT rights. Under California law, the state will not fund or sponsor trips to those places.
Texas, Alabama and South Dakota made the list for new state laws that could prevent LGBT couples from adopting. Kentucky’s new law allows students to express religious beliefs without penalty.
Those states join North Carolina, Tennessee, Kansas and Mississippi on California’s banned travel list.
