The City of Sacramento opened two cooling centers on Friday. The City and County of Sacramento are opening the Hart Senior Center at 915 27th Street on Sunday to give relief from the heat from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m.
The National Weather Service forecasts multiple days of 100-degree temperatures with lows above 70 degrees. That forecast meets the criteria for opening the centers in the city.
The cooling centers will open Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday at a minimum.
Here is a list of the other centers, as listed on 211sacramento.org.
