The groups behind bringing Major League Soccer to Sacramento are now combined as one organization.
Plans were finalized Monday for Sac Soccer and Entertainment Holdings to acquire Sacramento Republic F.C.
The groups had been at odds earlier this year, but were brought together through meetings with Mayor Darrell Steinberg.
The combined ownership group says it will continue with plans to get a 20,000 seat stadium in place by 2020.
Major League Soccer is expanding the number of teams in the league by four.
Twelve cities are currently vying for those spots. In the West, those include Sacramento, San Diego, and Phoenix.
