The Sacramento Police Department has released more videos of an incident from April of last year that ended with officers shooting a black man to death.
Officers had responded to reports of someone acting suspiciously near Center Parkway in South Sacramento.
They detained Dazion Flenaugh, but didn't arrest him. He then bolted from police.
One of the videos is from a home security system that shows Flenaugh then attacking the front door of a home with a pick axe.
One video is from the body camera of an officer who arrived just as the shooting occurred.
"They were close. You can see, there's a big ol' steak knife or big ol' knife about that long, and in the grass where the other white card I marked, over there was a butcher knife He was charging. Oh really? It was legit. Like, he was like. I was pulling up the street right here and they just offed him, which they should have. Yeah, absolutely."
The Sacramento County District Attorney's office ruled the three officers who killed Flenaugh acted lawfully.
Flenaugh's family says he had a history of mental illness.
A toxicology report showed Flenaugh was under the influence of amphetamine and methamphetamine.
