The City and County of Sacramento have opened another warming center for the homeless.
The center at Southside Park will provide blankets and snacks.
Medical services will also be available.
Neither the city nor the county has an estimate as to how many homeless may use the warming center.
The warming center will open on nights the Pilgrimage Rotating Shelter program is closed and when the temperature drops below 40 degrees.
The Pilgrimage program provides overnight housing for the homeless at churches in the county 7-to-10 nights a month.
