A Sacramento high school student was shot and killed Tuesday night in Natomas.
Gurnoor Singh was a 17-year-old senior at Inderkum High School. Police say Singh was found at a home in north Natomas. Police are investigating the death as a homicide and say the motive is unknown.
Inderkum High School senior Lawrence Washington Evans was friends with Singh and says they hung out together in art class.
"Gurnoor was a real cool person," says Washington Evans. "He really liked art. He would take old shoes and re-design them and sell them to other kids. He was real nice. He tried to make everybody feel good about themselves. He was just a nice person in general."
Fellow senior Bryce Allen played freshman football with Singh and described him as “a generous and loving person.”
The principal of Inderkum High School was not available for comment about Singh's death.
A statement from the Natomas Unified School District said counselors were dispatched to the high school campus to talk with family members, students and staff.
