The University of California, Davis is halfway through a project to convert its restrooms to gender-neutral facilities.
Grant Nejedlo is with the school's facility management department.
He says, "Last summer the University of California Office of the President released a series of guidelines all aimed at helping increase the number of safe, accessible and inclusive spaces on campus."
By the end of this month, UC Davis will have converted 120 of it's single-stall restrooms to unisex bathrooms.
The bathrooms will all have new locks and signs when the project is complete.
Nejedlo says the school is looking into the possibility of making other areas of the school gender neutral.
