UPDATE: The National Weather Service has canceled a tornado warning for east central Sacramento County as of 6:30 p.m.
Original Post: The National Weather Service has issues a tornado warning for east central Sacramento County until 6:30 p.m.
At 5:44 p.m. the doppler radar identified a possible tornado near Sheldon Road, about eight miles east of Elk Grove. The winds are moving at around 25 miles an hour over Wilton.
The Weather Services advises residents to take cover in an interior room of the house on the lowest floor. Because tornados are difficult to see at night in heavy rain it's important to take cover now and not wait until you see or hear the tornado.
