3:30 p.m. One of the men who stopped a terrorist attack on a French train in August was stabbed early Thursday morning in midtown Sacramento.
Spencer Stone is in serious condition at UC Davis Medical Center in Sacramento.
Stone can be seen on surveillance video in the intersection of K and 21st streets fighting with at least three people.
Sacramento Police Deputy Chief Ken Bernard says Stone was with a group of friends a little after midnight.
"It was a dispute between two groups of people that ended up in a physical altercation," says Bernard. "Unfortunately, Mr. Stone was stabbed."
Police have not spoken with Stone since the stabbing.
His injuries are described as serious, but not life-threatening.
Bernard says there appears to be no connection between the stabbing and Stone's efforts to stop a terrorist attack on a French train in August.
Police are looking for two Asian men in their 20s who were last seen driving a newer gray or black Toyota Camry.

UPDATE 11:09 a.m. - Sacramento Police said the encounter that left Spencer Stone injured occurred in an intersection at 21st and K streets, and that surveillance video of the incident exists. Police said the fight was with six or seven people, according to store employees.
Police described the suspects as two Asian males in dark colored Toyota Camry.
Police were unable to interview Stone following the incident, and said others in the party of five are cooperating with officials. They said there is no known motive for the dispute, which appears to have started in a bar and spilled out into the street.
UPDATE 10:41 a.m. - Sacramento Police confirmed Thursday morning that French train hero Spencer Stone was stabbed in Sacramento's Midtown neighborhood.
Police say Stone was out with a group of friends when a physical altercation led to him being stabbed multiple times in his upper body early Thursday.
Police say the incident was reported at 12:46 a.m. in the area of 21st and K streets. Officials say the assailants fled the scene after the attack.
Police added: "This is not a terrorism related event and is in no way related to the incident that occured in France. The assault does not appear to be a random act and is believed to be a nightlife related incident."
Stone was taken to UC Davis Medical Center. Officials from the hospital relased the following statement:
"The family of Airman Spencer Stone appreciates the outpouring of love and support.
Airman Stone is in serious condition.
His family requests that the media respect his right to privacy at this time.
Any updates to this statement will be posted on this website."
UPDATE 9:26 a.m. - In a statement, U.S. Air Force officials said Airman 1st Class Spencer Stone, the Air Force service member who helped thwart a gunman's attack on a French train in August, was involved in a stabbing incident in Sacramento.
He was transported to a local hospital and is in stable condition.
The incident is under investigation by local law enforcement.
Sacramento Police say there will be a press conference at 10:30 a.m.
9 a.m. (AP) - An Air Force spokesman says Airman 1st Class Spencer Stone, who helped subdue an attacker on a French train in August, is in stable condition after being stabbed in Sacramento.
The spokesman, Lt. Col. Christopher Karns, says details are sketchy. He says Stone is being treated in a hospital in the Sacramento area.
Stone is assigned to Travis Air Force Base in California.
Karns says the matter is being handled by local law enforcement officials. Karns has no details on the nature or exact location of the stabbing.
The Sacramento Police Department tweeted out that the incident occurred near a bar and alcohol is believed to be a factor:
