Dodge Ridge Ski Resort in Pinecrest in Tuolumne County closed skiing in January after just a month of operation because there was no snow.
This month's temperatures are running 15-20 degrees above normal, with the forecast into the high 60's this week.
Sean Waterman with Dodge Ridge says although the ski season was short, the early warm spring has allowed the opening of 100 campsites at Pinecrest now.
"The campgrounds at Pinecrest Lake are completely dry, there's a slight bit of snow up above 8,000 feet and reportedly what I've heard is that there is less than two feet of snow at the top of Sonora Pass right now."
Waterman says Pinecrest Lake is filling up with winter run-off and already fishermen are dropping their lines.
Campground reservations usually begin in mid-May but campsites are available now on a first come, first serve basis.
