Mike Testa with the Sacramento Convention and Visitors Bureau says nearly 28-thousand people attended the four events held on Capitol Mall last month.
"When we started this about a year ago," says Testa. "I think we came into it with very low expectations and were immediately surprised at how many people put energy behind this, how important this was to a lot of folks that lived in this region. I think you saw that reflected in the events. We expected and hoped for about 15,000 people."
The week of events included a cattle drive, wine tasting, dinner on the Tower Bridge and the Farm-to-Fork Festival.
Testa says organizers are reviewing what went well and what could be improved.
Next year's week of events has been scheduled for the end of September.
